Ye Bingchang (叶冰裳) is the eldest daughter of the General Ye Xiao. She is Ye Xiwu's illegitimate half-sister and side-concubine of Xiao Lin.

Background[]
She was born in Sheng Kingdom as the first daughter of the Pillar of the State Great General Ye Xiao. Her mother was a concubine. Because of this, even though she is the oldest, she is unfavored and ignored. Her younger half-sister Ye Xiwu, who is the only legitimate daughter of the family, often ridicules her because of this.
She developed feelings for the Crown Prince Xiao Lin, after meeting him at a royal banquet. They quickly became lovers and got married. However, she was given the title of "the Side Concubine of Prince Lin", while she was hoping to be his legal wife. This incident caused her to doubt herself and from then on, she slowly started to go astray.

She is a tall woman with long black hair and black eyes. She has fair skin and considered to be very attractive as many men were after her.
She is 23 years old in the drama (revealed in episode 24).
Personality[]
She is known for her graceful appearance, gentle character, kind heart, and etiquette-conforming behaviours.
She has an inferiority complex and has been jealous of her sister Ye Xiwu since she was little. She thinks of herself as "just a lowly concubine's daughter" as she was frequently bullied for that reason by Xiwu.
She often relies on her good looks and expresses constant need for protection. She lives life on survival mode, plotting ways to salvation. She enters a mindset where she thinks she has to crush everything that stands in her way. With this, she gradually becomes selfish and cruel.
